Funny, since removing the picture of Isaac, I have had a few requests to put him back on display. I actually replaced his photo because I thought that some of you might become annoyed by a smiling baby rising like the sun each time you opened our blog.
Clearly you weren't.
So, I set about trying to rectify the issue only to find that I have lost that picture of Isaac. It can't be found on the camera or on either computer. Every time I think about this loss I become a little panicked. It was such a classic photo - oh where, oh where could it be? Do any of you computer savvy people know of some clever way of finding lost photos on blogs? Or, do I just need to hope for another remarkable shot?

Do you not download your photos into a library on the computer first? That would be the logical thing to do first. Then you always have them on file. I don' t know how blogs operate, ... It would seem to me that if you delete from a blog, it's gone. Another thing, do you have an external backup on the computer? If not, I'd strongly advise it. I have even lost photo files to "cyber heaven" on my Mac ... Gone! Now I have an extra internal hard drive and an external hard drive installed. Larry has the same on his computer for business files. Apparently any computer company will suggest that.
Also what works Elena, is something like Picassa. It's basically an external hard drive, well sort of, and you can save and retrieve photos from it. You can create albums with your photos, say from an event like a birthday, and then the photos are easier to send.
Hope that helps. Too bad we weren't closer, I'd love to do photos of the kids. I love candid shots especially.

I should have mentioned that the computer on which it was stored crashed at Christmas taking with it the photos. Unfortunately we hadn't backed them up on a memory stick as we usually do. Perhaps I will try Picasa.
