For any of you who were beginning to worry about the safety of our skaters' noggins, don't worry, we finally got them hockey helmets. Jacob, in typical Jacob fashion, insisted on wearing his new helmet in the van. Perhaps this was a statement on his parent's driving, perhaps not. We also have photos of him wearing goggles to his swimming lessons. (He also wore the same goggles to a wedding but de-goggled before entering the church.) Note that his leg is crossed; it always is - all he needs is a pipe and a beard to stroke. Hannah was quite upset at the absence of pink on her helmet. She sat dismally on the ice and decided to play on the swings instead.

This is Benjamin playing in the fort made by the primary students at Dave's school. He later broke it apart all over the ice rink. I don't know how the students reacted on Monday. Dave tried sending him to the
principal's office but the door was locked.

I imagine that this is Ben thinking about breaking apart the fort.

And this is where the actual idea to break apart the fort first came to mind.

This looks like one of those "Look at me, I'm pregnant" shots. It's not. It's just the coat. And now that I actually see what I wear in the winter, I realise that I am always ready for a funeral. Note to self: insert more colour.

The brothers who are starting to become good friends.

Yes, they are playing with a pink and purple house. It has a toilet that flushes and a baby crib that cries when pushed.

Lots of character.

1. You misspelled "color".
2. The snow pictures are depressing. Today in Tyler, TX it was 80 degrees (that's about 27 for the Fahrenheit challenged).
3. Does Joseph have a mullet? (I think you Canucks call it ``Hockey hair''.) Maybe we (by whom I mean your sister) should send you a picture of Rhett and Jasper's Uncle Jason, who has a mullet par excellence so you'll have something to aspire to.

My boys are 19 months apart and I loved it when they started to become buddies, it is even better when they start running with the same group of friends. Boys seem to handle age differences much better than girls, it is all good if you can pick up a hockey stick or football -- depending on the country in which you reside. The snow pics don't depress me - I am loving February in Arizona I have to admit.
Dear Anonymous (ahem, brother-in-law), All our boys have a mullet as their first haircut. I am always envious of those babies whose hair seems to grow into the perfect haircut. Perhaps I need to re-think my understanding of the perfect haircut. Elena
Historymum, I see you've got a picture up. Looks warm down there...
