At the very end of the ultrasound I asked the tech if she could check for the baby's gender.
She passed me a consent form and called Dave in.
And then she checked the little bottom and said, "Well, it doesn't look like there's anything there."
And I said, "Do you mean it's a girl?"
And she said, "Yes."
And I said, "Can you check again?"
And she did.
And she said, "Still a girl."
And I said, "Can you check just one more time?"
And she did; and she said, "Still nothing there. Looks like a girl."
And I almost hyperventilated.
And Dave smiled.
And then I told everyone at the grocery store (because I go there everyday).
And when I got back to the van, Dave was still smiling.
So am I.

That is very exciting! I hope you both are still smiling. :)
Well I am crying. I am so happy for you guys!!!!!
Congratulations!!! It's alway nice to be able to buy pink... can't wait to meet her
Exciting either way, obviously, but this is... awesome. :) (Now you need to post again and tell us all the kids' reactions!)
trusting this was good new for Hannah. WE are all smiling (and praying) here in Eastern Passage.
I'm with Jaclyn, I would love to see the kids' faces, esp Hannah's when you gave them the news.
Congratulations! Very happy for all of you!
We join in with the celebrations to welcome a sweet little sister for Hannah and the boys. She'll have a very different role in the family from Hannah given her cherished position as the baby. May she be a consolation to her parents throughout her life. I think even God is smiling at the joy this news brings.
Totally crying. If she is anything like Hannah then you are one lucky mamma.
Still a girl? And probably still smiling I bet.
