A concerted effort

A concerted effort, that's what I'm aiming at to finally start up this blog again.  Last Christmas, I found a blog publishing company and had three volumes of the early years of the blog printed up and hardbound.  The kids pour over the blog books, thank me for them, and I am reminded that I owe it to the younger crew to keep blogging.  Simon Leo is now 17 months old and the twins are nearing 20.  We are hovering on the edge of Christmas holidays and hopefully coming to the end of more than a year of constant respiratory viruses.  I hope that one day I will read that last sentence and realize that the illnesses really did come to an end because they sure don't feel like they will at the moment. Even Dave finally succumbed and came home from work yesterday and went to bed almost immediately.  Speaking of work, he is the acting principal at Bosco until January.  He is enjoying it and I hazard a guess that the school is once again enjoying him.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the twins home from college - 6 days to go!  I forget that Mariana and Matthew don't really understand if Jacob and Hannah live with us anymore.  I mentioned this morning that the twins would be coming home soon and Matthew raised his head in delight:  "You mean Jakey is coming home?  To sleep here?  And Hannah?"  How different the lives of these youngest kids are compared with the four oldest.  Mariana and Matthew live in a near constant state of saying good-bye.  But with those good-byes come lots of hellos and a solid amount of stability as well.
