Ben was confirmed on May 7th, two days before his birthday.
He chose my dad as his sponsor; fitting, as Ben's middle name is Nicholas.

Ben chose Francis as his Confirmation name. I was very touched by this because my younger sister, a Franciscan sister, is his godmother.

I discovered very shortly before the Confirmation celebration that Jacob's suit jacket was quite massive on Ben. Thus, before and after the mass, Ben wore his running jacket; nothing could have been more appropriate.
