Jacob and Hannah's Confirmation

I have a whole bunch of beautiful photos of confirmation stuck in email files or on private photography websites.  Thus, this is the best I can do at the moment.

Hannah receiving her gifts from the Sacred Heart League via the hands of Fr. Shalla.

My mother very kindly took Hannah shopping in Halifax for her entire outfit.  This also doubled as her graduation dress, so we definitely killed two birds with one stone.  However, a week before Confirmation, a friend asked me what Hannah was wearing to receive her sacrament.  She then remarked that she was wondering about what her son should wear.  It was at this point that I realized that I had completely forgotten about dressing Jacob for the big night.  Fortunately, one of the teaching assistants at the school hands all of her boys' clothes to us.  Among the many t-shirts and shorts was a beautiful black suit that fit Jacob perfectly.  Praise God!
While we are discussing things of a sartorial nature, I should relate the following story.  Prior to confirmation night, Jacob and Dave had been sharing the same pair of ten year old dress shoes.  It was four days before that I realized that confirmation necessitated both Dave and Jacob appearing simultaneously in public wearing dress shoes.  I made a quick trip to Pembroke where I found very expensive Clarks at 60% off.  The one hitch:  they were one size larger than Dave's normal size.  However, we added insoles and the shoes fit well.  Jacob will wear the older pair until he grows out of them.  Dave will wear the newer pair until he retires.
 Fr. Shalla:  Take your pick!
Jacob:  Is that jacket Armani?
Our favourite bishop bookended by my favourite twins.  As you can see, the twins are well on their way to their adult heights corresponding to their birth weights.  (Jacob was 6lb5oz and Hannah was 5lb4oz.)
